Work starts on suspension bridge in Kon Tum

The construction of a suspension bridge spanning the Po Ko river began in Dak Nong commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province on June 21.

The bridge, 120 metres in length and 1.2 metres in width has the capacity to carry 4.5 tonnes.

It links Ka Nhay hamlet in Dak Nong commune with Dak B and Dak Ro Me hamlets in Dak Ang commune.

The total construction cost of the bridge is VND 1.5 billion and it is funded by the family of Do Thi Kim Lien, the general director of AAA Insurance Joint Stock Company.

The bridge is expected to be completed after 45 days of construction and meet travel demands of over 2,000 local people and pupils in Dak Ang, Dak Nong and Dak Duc communes as the rainy season approaches.
