Work starts on City’s SSG Tower

The HCM City-based SSG Group broke ground yesterday on the SSG Tower which will cover the nearly 6,000sq.m area which was once home to the traditional Van Thanh Market.

Located on Dien Bien Phu Street near the Sai Gon Bridge, the land is considered one of the “golden plots of land” at the northeastern entrance to HCM City.

With 32 stories and basement levels, the new facility will include three separate sections for retail outlets, office space and residences.

Construction was expected to cost VND2 trillion (US$97 million) and would be completed by the end of 2013, said Dinh Ngoc Ninh, CEO of the SSG Group.
