Work on first petroleum steel pine plant in Vietnam starts

Petroleum Equipment Assembly and Metal Structure Joint Stock Company (PXS) held a groundbreaking ceremony of the first petroleum steel pipe plant in Tien Giang Petroleum Service Industrial Zone, Vam Lang commune, Go Cong Dong Dist, Tien Giang province on October 25 with total investment of 2.2 trillion dong, of which 30 percent stakes from PXS.

As the key project of oil and gas sector, the work will have output volume of 200,000 tonnes of steel pines per year.

The work will be put into operation by the end of 2011 to supply its products to key projects such as Nam Con Son 2, Lot B O Mon gas pipe and others.

As planned, its products will be exported since 2013.
