Wood export fetches $3b
ill the end of November, Vietnam’s export turnover for wood and wooden products gained $3.037 billion, up 31 percent versus the same period last year and exceeding the year’s target ($3 billion), according to Vietnam Association of Timber & Forest Products at the press conference held on December 20.
The US is still Vietnam’s key export market (reaching $1.1 billion), and then EU ($504 million), and Japan ($319 million).
In 2011, Vietnam’s export turnover for wood and wooden products is expected to grow 30 percent, reaching $4 billion.
