What to choose for Tet gifts for VIPs?

There is a wide range of products which can be chosen as Tet gifts for VIP clients. However, what to choose for Tet gifts is a headache for enterprises in the context of the price increases.

There are many choices Year-end gifts for VIP clients this year, from calendars, shirts, notebooks to teapost, china and foreign wine. However, it is not easy to choose suitable gifts, because enterprises need to choose the products that fit their pockets, especially when they are trying to cut the expenses.

Multi-functional gifts are the top choice

It is the habit of Vietnamese enterprises to present gifts to loyal clients at the end of year. This is to show their gratitude towards their clients, who bring prosperity to the companies. Besides, the products with the companies’ logos on them advertise their brands.

The most popular products, which were used as gifts in previous years, such as calendars, shirts, hats, or umbrellas, books, are still prevailing in 2010. However, enterprises have more choices in 2010, and they now prefer the products which have high use value.

Ngo Ngoc Diep, Deputy Director of UVIP Viet Trade and Service Company, said that different kinds of calendars, especially desk calendars with logos of companies have been the choice of many companies. The prices of the products are “reasonable” at 25,000-30,000 dong.

As for automobile or motorbike manufacturers and distributors, key hangers prove to be the top choice, because key hangers with diversified designs would be the suitable accessories for the motorbikes or cars the clients purchase.

The products used for gifts chosen by enterprises tend to combine different functions and have different use values. For example, pen is not only used to write, but also to check days, because there is a calendar printed on the body of the pen. Some kinds of pens are even associated with laser lamp or a sling to hang staff cards. The price of the pen is only 10,000 dong.

What to choose for the boss?

One of the most popular gifts this year are crystal products with patterns carved or printed on the surface.

The prices are different. A white-carved crystal-made paperweight is priced at 70,000-80,000 dong. Meanwhile, a crystal desktop product with a clock and box for putting cards would be selling at 200,000-450,000 dong.

These valuable products have also been chosen to be used as gifts for bosses or important partners. Gem teapot, for example, is priced at 600,000-800,000 dong, while luxurious flower vase or a set of china cups are selling at one or two million dong. The difference between the china products available on the market this year and last year is that the sets of cups are always associated by the sugar pots or milk pots.

Especially, clients now favour feng shui-styled products. For example, a person who was born under the auspices of a buffalo, would really appreciate the product with the image of a buffalo on it. The products are priced between two and three million dong.

Choosing gifts – a time consuming work

Tran Quan, the owner of a computer company on Lang Road, related that at first, he intended to give clients T-shirts as presents. However, he later found out that the products become expensive this year. Therefore, he finally decided to choose glazed terra-cotta glasses.

Meanwhile, a director of another enterprise said that the best choice for small enterprises is the product with reasonable price and one that has practical use. – Vietnamnet
