WB Finance US$51M to Upgrade Vietnam City Urban Infrastructure

The World Bank (WB) has financed US$51 million for a project worth US$70 million to upgrade urban infrastructure systems of Rach Gia city in Kien Giang province.

The project is expected to start in 2012 and finish in 2017 to boost economic development, poverty reduction and living standard improvement in the city.

The WB pledged US$2.498 billion in official development assistance (ODA) for Vietnam this year.
