VNPT targets 130tr dong revenue in 2011

The representative from Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) on January 15 said that in 2011, the group targets to bring 130 trillion dong in revenue, growing 28 percent from 2010′s.

In details, the group will strive to gain 11.8 trillion dong in profit, 8.45 trillion dong of tax payment, and average income of employees increase minimum 10 percent.

Ending 2010, although the demand for services has tended to saturate and the competitive pressure from the peers increased sharply, VNPT still fulfilled the year’s revenue target with 101.569 trillion dong, or 100.56 percent of the year’s target, and up 27.05 percent year-on-year. The group’s total profit was 11.2 trillion dong.

In addition, VNPT also developed more 15 million phone subscribers and 534,000 MegaVNN and FiberVNN subscribers. The labour productivity on the revenue reached over 1.1 billion/person/per year, marking the group’s highest revenue so far.

Currently, VNPT also accounts for the largest market share for major services. Of which, mobile phone market share accounts for 58.58 percent, broadband Internet market share (including ADSL and FTTx) at 71.32 percent and fixed phone at 77.66 percent. – Vietbiz24
