VNDirect tops brokerage market share on HNX in Q3

Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) has recently released the list of top ten securities companies with the biggest brokerage market shares on the northern bourse in the third quarter (Q3) this year.

Accordingly, the brokerage market share of Thang Long Securities Joint Stock Co (TLS) decreased nearly 3%, dropping from the first place in Q2 to the third in Q3. On Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HoSE), TLS’s brokerage market share also dropped 3% from the third to the eighth.

VNDirect gained the top place in terms of brokerage market share in Q3 with a rise of only 0.6%.

KimEng Securities Joint Stock Co continued to enlarge its market share by 1.42% to take the sixth position after ranking at the ninth in Q2.

Meanwhile, Hoa Binh Securities Joint Stock Co and Agriseco were no longer in the list of top ten securities companies with biggest market share. In Q2, Hoa Binh Securities JSC posted the strongest increase in brokerage market share to rank at the third position.

Replacing for these two securities brokers was Bao Viet Securities JSC and VSM with the market share of 3.39% and 2.83% respectively.

The total brokerage market shares of these top ten brokers in Q3 were 46.72%, falling from 47.22% in Q2.

From early this year so far, TLS has closed five transaction offices in HCM City and Hanoi. Meanwhile, KimEng has expanded its operation with the establishment of three branches in Da Nang, Can Tho and Vung Tau.
