VN-Ukraine look to boost collaboration

Vietnamese and Ukrainian delegations held a meeting yesterday in Ha Noi to discuss strategies to promote bilateral trade and collaberations in science and technology. The delegations discussed collaborative projects in areas such as industry, transport, energy and construction, along with projects to subsidise small and medium enterprises.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Le Danh Vinh said Viet Nam hoped to boost bilateral trade, especially in goods that both sides had a demand for.

He advised Ukrainian business owners to diversify their products and efficiently manage their businesses in order to be competetive in Viet Nam.

According to Vinh, Viet Nam exports fabrics, shoes, coffee and rice to the Ukraine, and imports grain, fertilisers, steel and machinery. Two-way trade turnover reached US$205.2 million in the first 10 months of this year. — VNS
