VN ranks 15th among the world’s Connectivity Scorecard
Việt Nam leaped up by four ranks, winning over China and India to stand at the 15th in the Connectivity Scorecard 2010 announced by Nokia Siemens Networks.
Connectivity Scorecard is a global information and communications technology (ICT) index that ranks 50 countries and territories on their deployment of ICT infrastructure. It measures the use of connectivity technologies by governments, business communities and consumers in enhancing social and economic prosperity.
Nokia Siemens Networks uses 30 different indices for its evaluation, including e-government, broadband connection penetration, and e-commerce website establishment.
Connectivity Scorecard 2010 indicated that Việt Nam’s strongest ICT index belongs to the consumer group with their frequent and skillful use of ICT services, followed by the government group.
Connectivity Scorecard has been implemented for 3 years, and the survey results are often used by many state agencies as references for planning their connectivity development.
