Vinh Hoan Corporation receives Global GAP certifications

The Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) has recently granted Global GAP certifications to two aquatic breeding areas of the Vinh Hoan joint stock company for their tra fish breeding model.

After receiving the certifications, the company signed its first contract to provide 120 tonnes of tra fillets to a big partner in Europe.

With these certifications, the company’s aquatic products can enter more foreign markets, even such demanding markets as the EU. At the same time, the price of tra fish is expected to rise to 10-20 percent.

A company representative said that to receive the Global GAP certification, the company had to apply standards for good aquaculture practice and environmental-friendliness and meet strict requirements for breeding fish.
