Vingroup joins World Economic Forum

Vingroup, with Vincom and Vinpearl as its main trademarks, joined the World Economic Forum (WEF) and became a member of the Global Growth Companies (GGC) on July 1.

To qualify for membership of GGC, a business must earn revenues ranging between $100 million and $5 billion, achieve an annual growth of not less than 15 per cent in two consecutive years and be capable of developing projects in a firm and stable manner with prestige and strong trademarks.

Earlier, eleven Vietnamese leading businesses joined the GGC and WEF, including the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Airlines, Vietcombank, Agribank and Tan Tao Group.

On July 3, Vinpearl Corporation, an affiliate of Vingroup, inaugurated the five-star resort Vinpearl Luxury Danang in the central coastal city of Da Nang.

Covering an area of 15.4 hectares, Vinpearl Luxury Danang boasts a five-star international hotel including 200 guest rooms along with 39 luxury villas sitting along the Non Nuoc beach, recognised as one of the world’s beautiful beaches by the US Forbes magazine. – VIR
