Vinatex’s domestic consumption reaches 8.3tr dong

In the first six months of this year, Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex)’s total revenue saw a growth of 33% from the same period last year, Tran Quang Nghi, the group’s general director said on June 24.
The group’s export also increased 32% year on year and domestic consumption reached 8.3 trillion dong, rising 23% year on year.

Nghi said that the group will make equitisation in 2012 whereby the state holding will be 65% stake and then it will reduce to 51% gradually.

Also in H1, export turnover for apparel products earned $6.16 billion. – Vietbiz24
