Vinacomin to Build VND4T Breakwater of Seaport in Central Vietnam

State-owned Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) will invest VND4 trillion to build a breakwater of Ke Ga Deepwater Seaport in the central province of Binh Thuan, said a Vinacomin official.

Duong Van Hoa, Vinacomin deputy general director, said that work on the 3-kilometer long breakwater will be kicked off in August.

The Ke Ga seaport project will be developed in four phases. The first, scheduled for completion within two years, has an annual throughput capacity of 3.5 million tons. The full capacity will reach 35 million tons per year by 2020.

Vinacomin will use proceeds from bond issues for the project, Hoa added. (STD)
