VinaCapital to continue investing in unlisted firms

VinaCapital will not buy into more listed stocks, this portfolio has accounted for only less than 5% of its total assets, Andy Ho, Chief Executive Officer and Head of VinaCapital’s Investment Department has said recently. “VinaCapital’s goal is still to invest in unlisted companies”.
VinaCapital will continue to disburse from $10 million to $40 million per project into these unlisted firms, mainly in sectors such as health, education, food, transportation and agriculture, CEO of VinaCapital said.

According to Andy Ho, VinaCapital also plans to raise more capital to invest in Vietnamese bonds and real estate, primarily in the medium housing segment.

On the investment plan to Cambodia, Andy Ho said that this investment is not a transfer of investment trends. Andy Ho said VinaCapital is targeting a number of projects in this market mainly in agriculture and infrastructure sectors via the form of indirect investment (investing in a Vietnamese company that has investment projects in Cambodia). – Source: Vietbiz24.com
