According to HAWA, VIFA 2010, the trade fair will be supported by an effective and large-scaled trade promotion programme. The total marketing expenditure for VIFA 2010 amounts to over US$180,000 and more than 40 domestic and foreign communication companies will take part in. Specially, the close relationship with embassies and State-owned trade promotion organizations, exchange agreements with regional trade fairs will help send the information about VIFA 2010 to companies around the world.
Taking part in VIFA 2010, exhibitors will have the opportunity to contact and expand cooperation with thousands of new customers with the high spirit of business cooperation for mutual development. This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese wood industry to develop potential customer data from which enterprises can pick up best partners, gradually develop business activities and increase brand values.
Besides, according to the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC), VIFA 2010 will officially join the International Furniture and Interior Decoration Trade Fair of six AFIC member countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam. The joining in the AFIC fair chain will bring many benefits to the wood industries of the member countries. Through the chain of international furniture fair, VIFA 2010 will be advertised widely by AFIC to its customers and world’s largest importers like the US, Japan and European countries. The time for trade fairs in AFIC member countries has been agreed to take place from March 2 to March 14, 2010. Accordingly, the exhibition chain will create favourable conditions for international purchasers to attend many organising countries in the region. In addition to attending the AFIC fair chain, HAWA members can also participate in other concurrent events like Singapore International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS) and ASEAN Furniture Fair (AFS) 2010 in Singapore from March 9 to 12, 2010.
Commenting on VIFA 2010, Mr Huynh Van Hanh, Vice Chairman of HAWA, said: Beside traditional markets, this fair will have more customers from new markets such as Russian, Czech Republic, Algeria, South Africa, Canada, Mexico and the Middle East. “Export promotion is carried out in the home market and finding out new markets is the success of Vietnam’s wood industry, especially in the current difficult context.” “Prior to VIFA 2009, I had heard that trade fairs in Vietnam were small and lack of new designs and quality. However, when I witnessed this trade fair, my knowledge was completely different. VIFA 2009 really is a professional fair in all aspects and has a wide range of products in very nice designs. I am very impressed with your fair,” said the editor-in-chief of famous furniture journal, MoebleMarkt, in Germany about the success of VIFA 2009.
With many efforts to support wood and handicraft enterprises in Vietnam, VIFA 2010 is expected to be an important bridge for Vietnamese companies to resume and increase exports, search for importers in new markets.
