Viettel Telecom to sell iPhone in Vietnam

The Military Telecom Group, or Viettel, has signed a deal with Apple Inc. to sell the iPhone in Vietnam, a senior company official said.

Viettel Deputy General Director Nguyen Manh Hung said both sides have agreed to sell the iPhone but he gave no details on the timetable.

Viettel is the country’s top operator telecommunication and mobile operations, the company said on its Web site.
