Viettel invests 270b dong in Hoa Lac High Tech Park

The military-run telecommunication firm, Viettel, has recently worked with PMU of Hoa Lac High Tech Park to invest 270 billion dong in building a smart card production plant.

The three hectare plant will produce all types of SIM in the telecommunication sector, the smart card for authentication, software products for telecommunication SIM, smart technology integration solutions, auto-control, advertising and other smart key services.

Along with Viettel, many other firms in the information technology and telecommunication sector also showed intention to invest in Hoa Lac High Tech Park.

A nearly 380 billion dong project of Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Co to build digital content production centre is expected to finish in June 2013.

NCS Technology Joint Stock Co’s project worth $20 million is to build software development and study centre.

The Hoa Lac High Tech Park covering a site of nearly 16,000 hectares is divided into six major functional areas including software area, development and study area, high tech industrial area, education and training area, centre area and general service area.

Currently, the Park has attracted 23 foreign and domestic investors in 13 science and technology sectors. – Vietstock
