Viettel Global plans to expand overseas investment

Viettel Global Investment Joint Stock Co (Viettel Global), a member of Vietnamese military-owned fixed, mobile and broadband operator Viettel Corp, announced its revenue of 2010 is targeted to jump 300 percent against 2009.

In details, the company will expand the investment markets to six countries with total 150 million people and seek new markets in African and American Latin nations.

Last year Viettel Global reached the revenue growth of 26 percent year-on-year and inaugurated the mobile networks named Metfone in Cambodia and Unitel in Laos.

In Q4 of 2009, Viettel also won the bid for investing in Haiti through taking 60 percent stake of in Haitian state-run fixed line provider Telecommunications d’Haiti (Teleco).
