Viettel reportedly invested $156 million in four overseas markets of Cambodia, Laos, Haiti and Mozambique by the end of 2010. Those four markets will reach an estimated 60 million people.

Among these markets, Viettel plans to invest $400 million in Mozambique through Movitel, a joint venture between Viettel, SPI and Mozambique’s Invespar after receiving an investment licence at the end of 2010. The investment capital will go to install around 4,500 base transceiver stations for 2G services and 1,200 stations for 3G services.
