Vietnamwood2011 is charming all comers

Vietnamwood/Furnitec, ASEAN’s largest woodworking and furniture production trade platform, will be in full swing from October 12-15.

Delivering 12,500 square metres of exhibits by 250 manufacturers from 19 countries and regions, the expo is up 20 per cent in size this year. There are 12 per cent more exhibitors than ever before.

The ninth Vietnam International Woodworking Industry Fair-Vietnamwood 2011 will be staged at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC). The biennial exhibition presents the latest developments of the industry and covers the sectors of wood machines, accessories, components, fixings, timber, adhesives, handling systems, dust extraction, software, tooling, services and ancillary devices.

Presenting new dimensions in creativity in tune with market demand, Vietnamwood2011 will cover the entire value chain, from coating materials through to production systems, auxiliary materials and services. All the leading suppliers from around the world will be there. This year, regular attendees in the form of national and regional pavilions from China, Germany as well as the USA Hardwood States Export Group Pavilion are all present to showcase their wares.

In the past two years TWMA have developed Woodworking Machine’s 3D Virtual Image Pavilion. By using this “Technology to market technology” concept, TWMA incorporated the creative use of 3D technology with other technology to display “Made in Taiwan” woodworking machinery in a very realistic and effective manner. Twenty-three German exhibitors are showing at the German pavilion at Vietnamwood2011. Equipped with the best know-how and the latest technologies, these German manufacturers of woodworking machines and accessories are all set to present a broad selection of their products and look forward to intensifying their cooperation with the Vietnamese wood industry. German manufacturers of woodworking machinery and materials are an important partner for the Vietnamese wood industry. Vietnam has become the single largest global market for US hardwood lumber after China and is of major importance to US exporters. The value for 2010 amounted to $143 million for lumber, logs and veneer. Sixteen US hardwood companies from the Hardwood States Export Group and AHEC members will exhibit at the US Pavilion at the Vietnam wood trade show. They will welcome industry and trade visitors to stands 293 and 284.

Alongside the German, Taiwanese and the US pavilions as well as those of other foreign exhibitors, Vietnamese exhibitors including Thuan Hien, Quoc Duy, Vetta  and Hong Ky will showcase their latest products and technology like: rover gold CNC – the machine which can help decrease errors and reduce clamping time. Also on display will be the Brush Sanding Machine and the high frequency wood board joining machine.

Vietnamwood2011 is the fundamental platform for reaching target customers, forging business relationships and promoting new technologies to the worldwide wood-based industry. The show has attracted strong support from international key exhibitors and delegations reinforce Vietnam’s position as a global and regional production, trading and distribution centre for wood-related industries in ASEAN.
