Vietnam’s tourism industry earns 96tr dong in 2010

In 2010, Vietnam’s tourism sector would bring about 96 trillion dong in revenue, up 37 percent year-on-year thanks to the strong growth in number of international and domestic tourists, according to Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

Vu The Binh, head of Travel Department under VNAT said that in 2010, the total number of international visitors to Vietnam is estimated to reach 5.05 million arrivals, much higher than the target of 4.5-4.6 million visitors, and the total number of domestic tourists may also reach 28 million people, equalling to the forecast.

In 2010, tourist centres gained highest growth were still familiar localities such as HCM City, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa and Da Nang. – Vietbiz24
