Vietnam’s plastic product exports to touch $4.3 billion by 2020

Vietnam’s plastic product export is expected to earn some $2.15 billion in 2015 and the figure is likely to be $4.3 billion by 2020 with a growth rate of 15 percent.

Particularly, under the development scheme of Vietnam’s plastic industry approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) to 2020 and vision till 2025, the country’s industrial production value of plastic sector would reach 78.5 trillion dong in 2015, 181.577 trillion dong by 2020 and 390 trillion dong by 2025.

The percentage of plastic sector in the country’s whole industry field would reach 5 percent by 2015, 5.5 percent by 2020 and 6 percent by 2025.

By 2015, plastic product output is expected to reach 7.5 million tones and it would be 12.5 million tonnes by 2020.

Vietnam’s plastic product export is targeted to bring in $2.15 billion in 2015 and it would be $4.3 billion in 2020 with a growth rate of 15 percent.

As calculated by MoIT, the total investment capital for this scheme till 2020 will need some 175.53 trillion dong.
