Vietnam’s pepper export reaches nearly $34m in April’s H1

During the first 15 days of April, Vietnam has exported 6,351 tonnes of pepper, including 4,873 tonnes of black pepper and 1,478 tonnes of white pepper, earning $33.9 million, including $23.2 million for black pepper export and $10.7 million of white pepper export.

Thus, the average export price reached $4,761 per tonne for black pepper and it was $7,240 per tonne of white pepper, marking a relatively high price level.

Amongst 44 pepper exporters in the first half of April, five companies took the lead including Intimex HCM with 861 tonnes, Phuc Sinh (677 tonnes), Truong Loc (584 tones), Simexco Dak Lak (522 tonnes) and Olam Vietnam Co (100 percent foreign invested firm) with 466 tonnes.

In H1 of April, Vietnam mainly exported pepper to market such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the US, Germany, Netherlands, Pakistan and China. – TBKTSG
