Vietnam’s longest domestic flight route to be launched from April 28
From April 28, Mekong Airlines Joint Stock Co (Air Mekong) will launch a non-stop flight Hanoi-Phu Quoc without transit in Tan Son Nhat airport as previously.
Truong Thanh Vu, Air Mekong’s service and trading director, said that this is the Vietnam’s longest domestic flight route.
Bombardier CRJ 900 Jet will take about two hours and 20 minutes (saving 50 percent of time against the previous flight route transit in Tan Son Nhat airport). The ceiling ticket price for common class on this route will be 2.72 million dong per ticket (excluding taxes and fees).
In the first stage, Air Mekong will offer 4-5 routes per week.
From June 1, Hanoi-Phu Quoc flying route will be launched daily. However, during the Vietnam’s upcoming long public holiday of South liberation (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1), this flying route will be opened seven flights per week departing at 6:00 am from Hanoi and departing at 15:40 from Phu Quoc.
Air Mekong has started operations since October 9, 2010 and is a carrier operating under traditional model with two service classes of high-ranking and common.
Currently, Air Mekong is offering 32 flights per day from Hanoi, HCM City to Pleiku, Da Lat, Buon Me Thuot and Da Nang. – Vneconomy
