Vietnam’s inflation expected at 13.3 pct in 2011: ADB

Asian Development Bank (ADB) said that Vietnam has timely given the overall policies to tame inflation and stabilise the macro economy via its Resolution No 11.

If this resolution is implemented successfully, Vietnam’s economy will be recovered.

However, despite the successful implementation, the country still needs more time to lessen the inflation.

The country’s inflation is forecast to maintain at high level of about 13.3 percent during 2011 before falling to 6.8 percent by 2012.

Ayumi Konishi, ADB’s director in Vietnam, said that the decrease of Vietnam’s inflation ratio to one‐digit level by the end of 2011 requires the monthly average inflation ratio at 0.4 percent from now till the end of the year. This, although is very difficult but it still can be achieved. – Stoxplus.com
