Vietnam’s gasoline price lower than Cambodia by 6,052 dong/litre: Petrolimex
Vietnam National Petroleum Joint Stock Corp (Petrolimex), the country’s largest petroleum and petrochemical producer, has said that RON 92 gasoline price in Vietnam is lower than the price in Laos by 5,798 dong per litre and lower than the price in Cambodia by 6,052 dong/litre and 12,898 dong per litre in Singapore.
In its latest news, Petrolimex said that in the first half of September, 2011, the average price of crude oil in the world market $87.93 per barrel of WTI oil (up $0.96 or 1.11 percent), Brent oil at $112.25 per barrel, up $3.03 per barrel or 2.77 percent.
Regarding the retail price of RON 92 gasoline item in some countries in the region currently, according to the forex rate on September 9, 2011, the listed prices at stations are as follows:
In Laos (Laos State Fuel Co): 10,580 kip/litre, equalling to 25,598 dong per litre.
In Cambodia (SOKIMEX Co): 5,350 Riels/litre, equalling to 26,852 dong/litre.
In Singapore (SPC): 2,000 S$ per litre, or 33,698 dong/litre
In China: 7,990 Yuan/litre, or 25,122 dong/litre.
Thus, according to Petrolimex, the price of RON 92 gasoline in Vietnam is lower the
price in Laos by 5,798 dong per litre, 6,052 dong per litre in Cambodia, 12,898 dong/litre in Singapore and 4,322 dong/litre in China.
