Vietnam’s export for apparel products fetches $8.9b in first eight months
With an export turnover of over $1.35 billion in August, apparel products continued to be amongst the country’s export items with highest export turnover from early this year so far, bringing the total figure in Jan-Aug to $8.95 billion, rising 28.2% from the same period last year, Vietnam Textile and Garment Association (Vitas) reported.
Pham Xuan Hong, Vitas’ vice chairman, with the current export growth, garment and textile sector will be likely to exceed this year’s export turnover target of $13.5 billion to touch the new peak of $14 billion.
