Vietnam’s apparel product export expected at $13b in 2011

With favourable forecasts of the market, Vietnam’s garment and textile sector targets to earn $13 billion of export turnover in 2011, higher than $11.17 billion in 2010, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Vietnam Garment and Textile Association also said that the US market will continue to bring high potential for Vietnam’s apparel products. In 2010, Vietnam’s garment and textile export to the US market reached over $6 billion, up 22 percent from 2009.

The association also predicts to earn high growth in EU market.
