Vietnamobile Launches Pre-paid SMS Roaming Service

Vietnamobile has recently introduced prepaid SMS roaming service which allows prepaid customers to keep contact with their families, friends and business associates while travelling overseas with sending and receiving SMS in nearly 30 countries, including Vietnamese nationals’ most frequently visited destinations as Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, among others.

This is one of the efforts of Vietnamobile to bring further convenience for customers when going abroad, only after one year of service launch in Vietnam. . More countries will be expanded with this service in the next few months.

“In response to the increasing communication needs of prepaid subscribers while holidaying or on business trips overseas, Vietnamobile has introduced prepaid SMS Roaming service just over a year in operation to fulfill its commitment to become the most convenient GSM mobile network in Vietnam. The service allows our customers to keep in touch when they are abroad at a reasonable cost as we understand that calling through voice from overseas is still relatively costly. In the near future, we will continue to expand to more countries for added convenience to our roaming subscribers,” said Elizabete Fong, Vietnamobile CEO.

Vietnamobile is a fast growing GSM mobile communications service operator in Vietnam launched in April 2009. It is a co-operation partnership between Hutchison Telecom International Limited and Hanoi Telecom Joint Stock Company.
