Vietnamese Firm Reduces Rice Prices

Food Company of Ho Chi Minh City, or FOOCOSA, Nov 30 reduced prices of almost all kinds of rice by VND500-VND800/kg.

Prices of rice put for sale in 40 Foocomart shops in the city will be ranging from VND8,000 to VND12,000/kg.

The company said it now has more than 30,000 tons of rice in stock, confirming that there will be now rice fever in domestic market.

Several days ago many agents in HCM city raise rice prices by VND1,000-VND2,000/kg, worrying local consumers of weak rice supply. (Liberated Saigon)
