Vietnamese and Thai localities boost cooperation

Vietnam’s central Quang Tri province and Thailand’s Mukdahan province on July 28 held a workshop on cooperative potential in investment, trade, tourism, culture and education.

The two localities will set up subcommittees to survey and research the natural and economic conditions of each province, and to provide more information on the potential and advantages of investment cooperation with the aim of creating favourable conditions for their businesses to seek cooperation and investment opportunities.

The subcommittees are expected to promote economic development and administrative reform to facilitate investment in both countries.

Addressing the workshop, Governor of Mukdahan province Chanvit Vasayangkura said the province would cooperate with Quang Tri province in exporting agricultural and forest products by sea.  -VNA
