Vietnam to lift rice export floor price
Vietnam would raise the minimum export price on the 25-percent broken rice, its most popular grade for export and which is often imported by the Philippines, by 2.3 percent to $445 a tonne, a state-run newspaper said.
The floor would be raised from $435, free-on-board basis, now while the floor price for 5-percent broken rice will be kept unchanged, Vietnam Food Association Chair Truong Thanh Phong was quoted by the Thanh Nien newspaper on Saturday as saying.
He did not give any dates for the new floor price. – Reuters
