The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) plans to hold a tourism promotion program in Germany, Belgium and France later this month.

All international travel companies and hotels with three-star standard and higher can join the campaign, the VNAT said.

The VNAT will introduce the Vietnamese tourism in Germany through the Vietnam Culture Week scheduled to open in Berlin on August 28-31. The event will include exhibitions, a tourism road show and meetings between Vietnamese and German businesses.

Meanwhile, the administration will organize a road show on in Brussels, Belgium, on September 4, then travel to France from September 8 to 12.

Vietnam welcomed 2.9 million foreign tourist arrivals in the first seven months of 2010, up 35% from a year earlier, said the VNAT.

The Southeast Asia country aims to receive between 4.5 million and 4.6 million foreign travelers and earn tourism revenues of between US$4 billion and US$4.5 billion this year.
