Vietnam to export 200,000 tonnes of rice to Cuba

The Vietnam Northern Food Corporation (VINAFOOD 1) has signed a contract to export 200,000 tonnes of rice to Cuba, announced the Vietnam Food Association (VFA).

Of the total, 50,000 tonnes of 15 percent broken rice will be sold at US$496 per tonne.

The rice will be delivered from October, 2010 to March, 2011.

Every year Cuba imports about 400,000 tonnes of rice from Vietnam, mainly through negotiations between the two countries’ governments. – VOV
