Vietnam Telecom 2010 to kick off in town this week

The 13th International Exhibition in Vietnam on Telecommunications and Information Technology, or the Vietnam Telecom/Electronics-Internet & IT 2010, will take place in HCM City from November 17-20.

This year’s exhibition will have a displaying area of nearly 9,000 square meters, with more than 200 enterprises from 13 countries and territories such as Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong and India.

The exhibition at Saigon Exhibition and Convention centre (SECC) in District 7 will feature electronic products, software development, 3G mobile phone, value-added software, and online education among other modern innovations.

The expo will also include a conference, focusing on 3G services, Wimax, broadband networks and electronic entertainment and multimedia. Large service providers in Vietnam and renowned brand names such as VinaPhone, EVN Telecom, HTC, Huawei, MobiFone, Q-Mobile, SPT, Vietnamobile, Viettel, and VTC will join the event.

Bui Quoc Viet, deputy head of the organising board, said the expo offer opportunities for local and foreign businesses to exchange technologies and expand business relations. International firms such as ZTE, Orange, IBM, and PCCW global will also have chances to introduce latest products to local customers.

The event is co-organised by Information and Public Relation centre under the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, the Vietnam Association for Information Processing, and Hong Kong’s Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd The main sponsors of the fair are the National Steering Committee on ICT and the Ministry of Information and Communications. – Saigon Times
