Vietnam stock briefs August 16
The Aviation Printing Joint Stock Co (coded IHK) has announced that August 25 would be the registration deadline to close the shareholders list for allocating 2009 dividend in shares.
* Da Nui Nho Joint Stock Co (coded NNC) has announced that August 30 would be the ex-right session for the company’s shareholders to register for getting first phase-2010 dividend.
* State Securities Commission of Vietnam has granted the certificate to Century 21 Joint Stock Company (C21) for offering shares to the public. Accordingly, the company has been allowed to offer 5.624293 million shares to public, including 3.318145 million for existing shareholders and the rest for strategic partners.
* Song Da 27 Joint Stock Company has submitted an application profile to HNX for listing shares by the end of August (deadline at early of September).
* An Phat Plastic and Green Environment JSC (AAA) has released a plan for closing shareholders’ list and seek permission for dividend at shareholders’ meeting
* The southern bourse listed – Agribank Securities Joint Stock Corporation (coded AGR) announced to list additional shares to pay dividend.
* The southern bourse listed- Seaprodex Refrigeration Industry Corporation (coded SRF) announced to register to repurchase 691,400 itself shares for treasury ones from August 20 to November 20 under order matching method on August 12.
* The southern bourse listed-Vietnam Container Shipping JSC (coded VSC) announced August 24 as latest record date to close shareholders’ list to advance 2010 dividend in cash at 20 percent per share (equivalent to 2,000 dong) and September 17 as settlement date.
* State Securities Commission of Vietnam has granted certificate for Song Da No 11 JSC (coded SJE) to offer stocks to public in accordance with Decree No 633/UBCK-GCN.
* The southern bourse has announced August 26 as latest record date to close the shareholders’ list for payment of 2009 round dividend in cash of Long Hau JSC (coded LHG) at 25 percent each (equivalent to 2,500 dong per share) and September 29 as settlement date.
* Hanoi Stock Exchange announced to officially list and trade 2.032895 million shares of Mineral & Mechanical JSC (coded MIM) on August 16.
* The southern bourse announced officially to offer 10 million shares of SMC Trading Investment JSC (coded SMC), including 3.663186 million for existing shareholders, 295,000 for the company’s employees and the rest for public auction.
* Industrial Urban Development Co No.2 (D2D) has announced August 20 as the ex- dividend date to pay 2010 first half dividend in cash for shareholders at 10 percent.
* Vietnam Growth Investmen’t Fund has acquired over one million shares of Petroleum Equipment Assembly and Metal Structure Co (PXS), or a 5.29 percent stake in the enterprise.
* Dong Nai Material and Building Investment Co has sought approval to trade over 8.8 million shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange.
* Kim Cuong Investment Joint Stock Co has bought 260,000 shares of Mekong Fisheries Co (AAM) to increase its ownership from 4.47 percent to 6.76 percent.
* Tan Dai Hung Plastic Co (TPC) has been allowed to trade around 3.8 million additional shares on the southern bourse.
* Cho Lon Securities Co has submitted dossiers seeking to trade nine million shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
* Viet Tri Chemicals Co. (HVT) has announced August l3 as the ex-dividend date for shareholders to receive 2009 stock dividend at 11 percent.
* Network Infrastructure Services Co has got approval in principle to trade three million shares on the northern bourse. NET Detergent Co has also got permission in principle to trade 4.5 million shares on the bourse.
* Seaprodex Refrigeration Industry Corp (SRF) has registered to buy back 691,400 SRF shares for treasury stock within three months from August 20 via matching.
* Idico Long Son Industrial Park Investment Co has got approval in principle to trade over 82.7 million shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange.
* Tan Binh Import-Export Co (TIX) has announced August 23 as the ex-dividend date to advance 2010 first round dividend in cash for shareholders at 10 percent.
* Tan Tao Investment Industry Corp (ITA) has got approval to trade 127 million additional shares on the southern bourse.
* Medi Health Investment Joint Stock Co has registered to sell 500,000 shares of Vi en Dong Pharmaceutical Co.(DVD) to decrease its ownership from 12 percent to 7.8 percent.
* Saigon Beer Transportation Co (SBC) has announced August 20 as the ex-dividend date to advance 2010 first round dividend in cash for shareholders at 15 percent.
* Sieu Thanh Co (ST8) will begin trading around 1.5 million additional shares on the southern bourse on August 19.
* Western Coach Station Co (WCS) will begin trading 2.5 million shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange on September 17. Mineral and Mechanical Co (MIM) will trade around two million shares on the bourse on August 16.
* Nguyen Van Can, chair and director of Da Nang Books and School Equipment Co (BED), has registered to buy over 103,000 BED shares to increase his ownership from 16.5 percent to 20 percent.
* Petrolimex Services Joint Stock Corp (coded PET) has announced its H1 business results, in which the company’s net revenue was posted at 4.529 trillion dong, gross profit of 353 billion dong and net profit of 99.7 billion dong, increasing by 20.2 percent, 18.13 percent and 23.7 percent year-on year respectively.
* The southern bourse-listed Hung Vuong Joint Stock Co (coded HVG) has released the business report for the first half of this year, in which the company’s profit after tax was posted at 110.11 billion dong, fulfilling 24.4 percent of the year plan of 450 billion dong.
* Pomina Steel Corp. (POM) reached 4.5 trillion dong in revenue and 482 billion dong in after-tax profit in the first half of this year, increasing by 55.6 percent and 69 percent against 2009 respectively.
* Lilama 3 JSC (LM3) announced principle for capital contribution of 51 percent for three its subsidiaries establishment.
* Da Nang City People’s Committee has worked with World Bank (WB) and Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corp (VEC) to discuss about the compensation methods for purposes of ground clearance and construction on Da Nang-Quang Ngai Expressway project.
* The prime minister has signed decision No 1437/QD-TTg approving capitalisation plan of the parent company, Vietnam Industrial Construction Corporation (Vinaincon).
* The southern bourse-listed Vietnam Petroleum Transport Joint Stock Company (Vipco-coded VIP) announced combined financial report in six past months with 693.77 billion dong of revenue, up 27.88 percent year-on-year and combined profit after tax 17.59 billion dong, down by 72 percent against the same period last year.
* Bui Duong Hung, general director of Licogi 16 Joint Stock Co (coded LCG) has announced that the company has reached total after tax profit of 20 billion dong in July. In Q3, LCG aimed to achieve targeted profit of 60 billion dong.
* Song Da Joint Stock Co No 1 (coded SD1) announced that the company targeted to reach Q3 revenue of over 98.4 billion dong, and pre-tax profit of 5.2 billion dong. In order to realise these targets, the company has concentrated on carrying out many profits so as to calculate the gained profit.
* PetroVietnam Trade Union Finance Investment Corporation (PVFI) will invest 83.2 billion dong in My Khe Tourist JSC, according to decision of shareholders’ meeting.
* Thien Nam Trading Import Export Corp (TNA) obtained 416 billion dong in revenue and 25 billion dong in pre-tax profit in the first seven months of this year, 64 percent and 62.5 percent of the 2010 targets respectively.
* Song Da Urban & Industrial Zone Investment and Development Co (SJS) has contributed 3.75 billion dong more to acquire a 51 percent stake in Sudico Service Joint Stock Co.
* PetroVietnam Nghe An Construction Co (PVA) has invested,1.35 trillion dong in a 25-storey condo building project in Vinh City.
* Hanoi Beer Alcohol Beverage Corp, or Habeco, will inaugurate the second phase of the 2.2 trillion dong Hanoi-Me Linh brewery plant on August 15. The plant covers over 25,000 square meters in Me Linh District with annual capacity of 200 million litres.
* Crude oil tanker Poseidon-M under PetroVietnam Transport Corp arrived at Viet Thanh Bay on Wednesday to supply 400,000 barrels of crude oil for the Dung Quat oil refinery in the central province of Quang Ngai. This is the first shipment under a deal signed by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) with SOCAR Company of Azerbaijan and BP Group.
* Manson Farm Investment Co Ltd has launched the first wild pig slaughtering house into operation in Binh Duong Province with the total investment of 1.5 billion dong. The 3,000 square metre facility will have a daily capacity of 10 to 30 pigs.
* PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Co (PVD) obtained over four trillion dong in revenue and 500 billion dong in after-tax profit in the first seven months of this year, or 78 percent and 62 percent of 2010 targets respectively.
* First Securities Co. has opened a new branch in Hanoi City’s Hai Ba Trung District.
* Ministry of Construction has carried out restructuring of Vietnam’s cement industry up to 2015 with orientation to 2025. It was expected that the afore-mentioned drafted plan would be finished and submitted to the government for approval in Q4 of 2010.
* In the past few days, the rice price has increased by 500-1,000 dong per kilogramme. Huynh Cong Thanh, director of HCM City Food Co said that the company had sufficient stockpiled rice; therefore, the uptrend in rice price was expected to last for short time. The company has already prepared at least 10,000 tonnes of rice in stocks in HCM City to serve for the people’s demands in case of price fluctuation.
* Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) has entered into negotiations with three Japanese partners: Itochu, Mitsui O.S.K Lines and NYK to build Hai Phong International Port in Lach Huyen estuary, Chanh River, Cat Hai district with 250 million dollar of investment.
* Thieu Nien Tien Phong Plastic JSC (NPT) moved PEHD pipe workshop to Hung Dao, Duong Kinh District in order to set up more six new chains there. The firm also submitted the application for construction of high-ranking tenement house and offices for lease at old its Hai Phong based- head office.
* Cotec Construction Joint Stock Co (CTD) has signed contract of base, ground floor and framework construction of Thanh Yen tenement house worth 135 billion dong with Thanh Yen Co, Ltd, the investor on August 9.
* Hanoi People Committee and relevant sectors had a work for ground clearance of Cat Linh – Ha Dong railway with 70 billion dong of clearance’s investment.
* Nam Mau Coal Co has broken ground for a worker dormitory in Cau Sen commercial centre in Quang Ninh Province. The 300 billion dong project will supply 224 flats about 65-80 square meters each.
* Dai Viet Co Ltd has been granted free rent for a 7,000-square-metre land plot to develop the Binh An rest stop project. This will be the first rest stop on National Highway lA in the central region.
* Song Da- Thang Long Ioint Stock Co has got approval to develop Residential No. 1 project in Da Lat City with the total investment of nearly two trillion dong. The project is expected to complete in 2014 with 600 villas, 1,000 condos, commercial and entertainment centers.
* Dai Thanh Co Ltd has launched a solar- powered water heater as part of its tra fish processing in Tien Giang Province. The system will help cut production costs and energy consumption in the province.
* China’s Huawei Device yesterday opened a showroom in Hanoi, supplying mobile devices and band- width equipments including teleconferencing products for the local market. The company, which as supplied equipments for big local mobile carriers like Viettel, VinaPhone, MobiFone and Vietnamobile, has so far sold more than 2.5 million cell phones on the local market.
* Mercedes-Benz Vietnam on Tuesday announced to donate a vehicle registration fee worth 5 percent of the vehicle price for buyers of the SUV GLK and C300 sedans. The new incentive aims to bring more convenience to Mercedes buyers in cash purchase, according to a statement of the company.
* Mekong Capital has announced that in the first six months of this year, 21 companies included in the investment portfolio of three funds under Mekong Capital’s management have reached average growth in net profit by 30 percent year-on-year.
* Prudential Corporation (Prudential) officially announced H1 business result with high growth in first six months.
* From August 15 to Sep 15, 2010, Vietnam Export-Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) has launched the new promotion programme of “Mua ve may bay, nhan ngay tien thuong” or buy air ticket, get bonus. Accordingly, the first 100 customers who own Eximbank’s domestic debit cards such as V-Top or other similar cards and register to purchase Vietnam Airlines’ air tickets online with value of over 1 million dong will be gifted 200,000 dong.
* From October 5, 2010, Vietnam Technological Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) will start collecting transaction charges at ATMs of other banks for the domestic debit cards owners (including the owners of F@stAccess, F@stAccess-I and F@stUni cards).
* In the first week of August, Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TienPhongBank) has opened three transaction offices in Hanoi, including Hang Voi Transaction Office, Thai Thinh Transaction Office and Minh Khai Transaction Office.
