Vietnam steel price rises by 200000 dong/ton

The steel retail price is standing at between 18.3 million dong and 18.7 million dong per ton as the purchasing power has been improved significantly since the middle of August, according to the local newspaper Tuoi Tre (Youth) on September 20.
Reportedly, steel distributors have raised the steel retail price by 200,000 dong per ton after some steel manufacturers cut the discount to 300,000 dong per ton from 500,000 dong per ton previously.

In addtion, the steel price at manufactories also increased by 200,000 dong per ton from the middle of September 2011, according to Tuoi Tre.
