Vietnam service deficit reaches $0.86Bln in 2010

Vietnam’s service sector incurred a deficit of $0.86 billion in 2010, falling 24.2% from 2009 and accounting for 11.5% of exported service in 2010.

The country exported $7.46 billion worth of service, up 29.4% from 2009, including $4.45 billion worth of tourism revenue (+45.9%) and $2.3 billion worth of transportation service (+11.8%).

Meanwhile the Southern Asian country spent $8.32 billion to import service, up 20.6% on year, including $5 billion worth of transportation service (+17%) and $1.47 billion worth of tourism (+33.6%).
