Vietnam says that it is ready to act in cooperation with the Sri lanka gvt

The government of Vietnam says that it is ready to act in cooperation with the Sri Lanka government at any moment it faces international crisis.

Vietnam Ambassador to Sri Lanka Ton Shin Ta said the Vietnam is well aware of the problems face by Sri Lanka at present.

He made these remarks when he met Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathne at the Prime Ministers Office this evening.

The Vietnam Ambassador further said that Vietnam investors are ready to start ventures in Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, Vietnam investors will be ready to invest in oil exploration in Sri Lankan waters. They will also invest in the tourism sector.

The Vietnam Ambassador pointed out the need to start direct flights between the two countries. Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathne praised the Vietnam Ambassador for the support extended to Sri Lanka
