Vietnam Rubber Group to Grow 22,800Ha of Rubber Trees in Cambodia in 2010

Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) will grow an additional 22,800 hectares of rubber trees in Cambodia this year, according to the group General Director, Tran Ngoc Thuan.

Thuan said that the cultivation is part of the group’s plan to develop 100,000 hectares of rubber trees in the neighboring country by 2012.

VRG has grown more than 10,500 hectares of rubber trees in Cambodia over the past three years, of which 8,000 hectares were planted in 2009. (Vietnam Agriculture)
