Vietnam rice exports forecast at 650,000 tons in june
Vietnam, the world’s second-biggest rice exporter, may ship 650,000 metric tons this month, according to figures released today from the General Statistics Office in Hanoi.
The nation exported 644,000 tons in May, down 1 percent from a previous assessment of 650,000 tons, revised figures from the Statistics Office show. Exports in the first half of 2011 were estimated at 4 million tons, up 16 percent from a year earlier.
