Vietnam retail sales and service revenue expand 23.7% in Jan-Feb

Vietnam’s total retail sales and service revenue is estimated to have accelerated 23.7% on-year to VND304.34 trillion in the first two month of this year

Vietnam’s total retail sales and service revenue is estimated to have accelerated 23.7% on-year to VND304.34 trillion in the first two month of this year, the state-run Nhandan reported on January 26, citing the General Statistics Office of Vietnam(GSO).

In February alone, retail sales and service revenue is estimated to increase by 3.15% on month to VND149.73 trillion.

In details, the trade sector in February fell by 4.71% from Jan. Meanwhile, the service revenue, the hotel and restaurant sector and the tourism posted an average increase of between 2.26%-4.13% from January due to a long Tet holiday.

Last year, total retail sales and services revenue surged by 24.5% year on year to VND1,561 trillion (roughly $78 billion) in 2010, or VND1,100 trillion higher than the target. – Stoxplus.com
