Vietnam retail sales and service revenue expand 22.1% in Jan

Vietnam’s total retail sales and service revenue is estimated to have accelerated 22.1% on-year to VND149 trillion in the first month of this year

Vietnam’s total retail sales and service revenue is estimated to have accelerated 22.1% on-year to VND149 trillion in the first month of this year, the online newspaper NDH reported on January 27, citing the General Statistics Office of Vietnam(GSO).

In details, the service revenue contributed VND13.6 trillion, up 19.6% on year in January.

The trade sector reached VND118.3 trillion, up 23.1% on year .

The hotel and restaurant sector posted an on-year revenue rise of 17.6% to VND16.4 trillion; and the tourism saw an increase of 14.5% to VND1.5 trillion on-year.

Last year, total retail sales and services revenue surged by 24.5% year on year to VND1,561 trillion (roughly $78 billion) in 2010, or VND1,100 trillion higher than the target. – Stoxplus.com
