Vietnam province to host East Asia Inter-regional tourism forum 2010

Vietnam’s northern province of Quang Ninh will host the East Asia Inter-regional Tourism Forum 2010 (EATOF) from September 13-17, the Vietnamese Government said on its website.

More than 200 delegates from 12 member countries and the EATOF Secretariat are expected to attend the forum.

The EATOF 2010 is an opportunity for the host province to promote its tourism, expand business, investment and cooperation with countries in the East Asia in particular and throughout the world in general.

The forum’s main activities will include the opening ceremony, art performances, travel fairs, mayors’ meetings, tourism conferences and others.

The EATOF was established in 1999 in South Korea with the membership of different provinces of East Asian countries. Vietnam’s Quang Ninh was the forum’s observer in 2004 and officially joined it in 2006.
