Vietnam province seeks $1.07Bln for transport project by 2020

Vietnam’s southern province of Dong Thap is seeking VND21 trillion (US$1.07 billion) for its transport planning project by 2020.

Under the plan, the province will upgrade its road system and ports, aiming to have five big ports namely IDI, Bao Mai, Sa Dec, Trang Quoc and other in Hong Ngu commune.

It also is calling on more investments for other development projects, including construction of a US$30 million automobile, bike, tractor spare part production facilities and US$20 million of agricultural machinery and equipment production plant.

Dong Thap poured VND1.12 trillion for infrastructure projects in the first seven months of this year, as a part its efforts to boost socio-economic development and call more both foreign and investors.
