Vietnam Pay TV Association debuts

The Vietnam Pay Television Association was officially established on April 23 as a voluntary, financially autonomous, and non-profit social and professional organization.

The association aims to connect its members to address burning issues in the field of pay TV such as competition, copyright sale and purchase, market share, installation costs for terminals, format and content of programmes, frequencies, technical investment and technological innovations.

This will be carried out through mediation and negotiation to create a cooperative climate to exchange experiences, reduce costs for each member, increase business efficiency, and contribute to the development of the television industry and the country’s cause of industrialization and modernization.

The association’s membership comprises leaders of broadcasting stations and enterprises that do business in Vietnam’s pay TV industry.
