Vietnam Operates 23 Hydropower Plants so far

Vietnam has been operating 23 large and medium-sized hydropower plants with a combined capacity of 6,200 MW so far.
The plants are contributing an average 26 billion kWh of power a year to the national electricity grid, the Dan Tri online newspaper reported.

As many as 800 hydropower projects of various kinds are being built across the Southeast Asian country, including 335 projects in the central region.
The nation plans to raise the total capacity of hydropower generation projects to more than 18,000 MW and the annual output of over 80 billion kWh by 2015. (Dantri)
