Vietnam one of the top in telecom growth

Vietnam was ranked in the top countries with the highest telecommunication growth in the world. The statement was announced by International Telecom Union (ITU) at Vietnam International Telecom 2010 expo yesterday in Hanoi.

Till April 2010, the country had 140 million telephone subscribers, in which the number of mobile subscribers accounted for up to 87 percent. There were total 236 million people using internet along with the impressive growth of ADSL wideband.

Also Ministry of Communication and Information granted four licenses of setting up 3G mobile service network.
