Vietnam: oil drilling rig supply contract to malaysia signed

The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group’s PV Drilling Company will supply its oil drilling rig to Malaysia’s Petronas, according to Vietnam news agency on Thursday.

Under a contract to this effect signed here, PV Drilling will sell its self-elevating offshore drilling rig to the Petronas Carigali Vietnam Limited Co.

PV Drilling is currently a leading drilling company in Southeast Asia and it is striving to become of Asia’s three largest companies in this field.

According to PV Drilling, the company signed a three-year contract in July with Hoang Long JOC to provide the PV DRILLING rig use in the White Rhino oilfield.

The company estimates its revenues and after-tax profit for this year will reach 6.5 trillion VND (US$334.1 million) and 950 billion VND (US$48,843), respectively, exceeding the target.
